Euphobia ingens, native to Rhodesia, and Natal, forms a giant candelabra specimen to 30′ in height. The 5-angled dark greens stems have wavy margins, and branch readily to form an arborescent plant that is excellent for landscapes or patio planters. This is a cultivar known as ‘Chocolate Drop’, so named for the large oval chocolate brown spine shields along the margins of the 4-angled stems. Spine shields are pinkish-rose when new, turning to chocolate brown with age.
Water requirement: Low to moderate (water only when dry); water only occasionally in winter; requires quick-draining soil.
Light requirement: Bright sunlight
